INFinitely fast... INFinitely small...

Located at the INRS Énergie Matériaux Télécommunications Research Centre, the Nanostructures and Femtosecond Science Facility (INF) gives the research community (from either academic and private sector) a direct access to state-of-the-art nanotechnology and femtosecond science facilities, as well as all the equipment and instrumentation needed to develop device prototypes for many domains (telecommunications, photovoltaic, biomedical).

The INF houses the Femtosecond Science Laboratory / Advanced Laser Light Source ( ALLS) and the Laboratory of Micro and Nanofabrication (LMN), one of the major scientific facilities that have made the INRS famous. It also includes the Material Characterization Laboratory.

It is a major component of the Infrastructure for Research and Development of Quebec (IRDQ).
